Switching tools shouldn’t mean losing your workflow—and with Notion’s new Asana Importer, you don’t have to. Now, teams can easily migrate from Asana to Notion, bringing all their tasks, projects, and teams along for the ride. Whether you're consolidating tools or leveling up your project management with Notion, this importer simplifies the transition for teams of any size.
Why Import from Asana?
If you’re ready to make Notion your primary tool for collaboration, this is the feature for you. Unlike syncing Asana with Notion, importing moves all your Asana data into Notion to create a centralized workspace for your team. From projects to tasks, everything is set up in customizable databases that reflect Notion’s powerful structure.
Here’s how Asana maps to Notion:
- Asana projects become Notion projects in a Projects database.
- Asana tasks become Notion tasks, stored in a Tasks database.
- Asana teams convert to Notion teamspaces for seamless collaboration.
How It Works
- Go to Settings → Import → Asana or use the
/asana
command in any Notion page. - Sign in to Asana and grant the required permissions.
- Choose the Asana workspace, team, and projects you’d like to import.
- Customize the properties you want to bring into Notion.
- Map task statuses and click Import.
Your Asana data will populate Notion’s Projects and Tasks databases, complete with default views like timeline, board, and calendar for easy navigation.
